Dana White called Matt Brown and Erick Silva’s first round one of the best 1st rounds he’s ever seen. Usually, White makes a grandiose statement and then everyone just nods, says “yeah okay Dana,” and goes on living their lives. But in this case we actually get some follow up. White listed his top eight (because top 5 lists are for pussies) 1st rounds in UFC history. Are they close to yours?

It’s hard to argue with any of these, although my personal favorite of the list is the Brian Stann/Wanderlei Silva fight. I keep that one on my DVR just in case any novice MMA fans want to see what the sport is all about. And my all-time favorite 1-round fight (not quite the same thing Dana is ranking), was definitely the Nick Diaz vs. Paul Daley fight in Strikeforce.
